First your dentist will have your teeth X-rays to evaluate the size and location of the pulps of each tooth and make sure that there is enough bone between the teeth to support the pulps. Your dentist will gently remove some of the enamel with either a laser or drill. They will trim misshaped areas or excessively long teeth, alter the shapes of badly shaped teeth, which can include the overlapping teeth, they will even them all for a better bite and alignment. After that, the dentist will smooth and polish the teeth. According to the specific case of your teeth your dentist may combine your reshaping with veneers and/or bonding procedures.

Every medical treatment comes with a set of risks and complications. Reshaping treatment can have these possible complications: Fragility: The process of removing enamel from the teeth can make them more fragile. What To Expect During A Reshaping Recovery?
