The essence of the liposuction procedure is the removal of excess fat pockets from specific regions of the body. During the surgery, your surgeon will form very small incisions. Then a special solution will be given inside the body. After that, using a special tube, the fat tissue will be suctioned. From which regions the fat will be removed depends the specific case of each patient. The potential regions include abdomen, waist, back, buttocks, calves, ankles, hips, thighs, upper arms, chest, chin, and neck. Surgical procedure involves making small incisions in the area which has fat deposits and inserting a tool called cannula into the fat pocket. What To Expect During A Liposuction Recovery?
After your surgery is done, your surgeon will make you wear compression garments. After 1-2 days, you will be able to walk, freely. Some pain, swelling and bruising are normal. Your surgeon will prescribe you pain medication. Your pain, swelling and discomfort will gradually ease. Just a few days after the procedure, you will be able to return to work. Gentle walking is safe and recommended. After a few weeks, you can return to all of your normal activities including exercise. What to Do Before the Liposuction

What to Do After the Liposuction?

Most important instructions include: Do not smoke for at least 2 weeks after the surgery. Do not take non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications after the surgery until your surgeon approves using them. Take your pain medication, anticoagulants and antibiotics, as scheduled. Wear compression garments as prescribed by your surgeon. Return to physical activities like fast-paced walking when your surgeon approves. This will probably take a few weeks.
