What To Expect During A Buttock Augmentation Recovery?

The First Week

After the surgery, there will be stitches on your incisions. There will be dressings on your incisions, and you will wear compression garment for a while. Right after the surgery, it is normal to experience some pain and discomfort. You will experience some bruising and swelling as well. Pain and discomfort will improve after a few days. But expect it to last for several weeks. Until the pain is manageable, it can be successfully controlled by pain medication. Small, thin tubes may be temporarily placed under the skin to drain excess fluid and blood.*4 Your stitches will be removed after 1 week. Gentle walking is safe and recommended.

Later

Bruising and swelling will improve quickly but they will last for several weeks. Most of the patients are able to return to work or school 2 weeks after the surgery. During the early weeks, you should avoid directly sitting on your buttocks. At this time, you need to sleep on your side or stomach, and you should avoid strenuous activities for several weeks. After a few months, most of the recovery will be completed.

Guidance & Support

What to Do Before Buttock Augmentation?
